How to Get Perfect Skin

Skin is the largest organ of the body, so it’s well worth looking after. Check out the healthy tips and know how to get perfect skin.

Tip 1: Healthy diet

A healthy diet is prerequisite for a flawless and glowing skin. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink fresh fruit and vegetable juices as well. Make the diet balanced by including all the essential nutrients. Choose foods that are low in fat and high in nutritional value. Cut off caffeine, alcohol and aerated drinks from your diet. Avoid junk and fried food.

Tip 2: Get enough sleep

Taking enough nap is one of the basics of a smart and effectual skincare regimen. Lack of sleep causes skin dehydration, turning your skin taut, dry and more prone to outbreaks such as acne, pimples, etc. Aside from this, skin specialists and dermatologists advise the people to develop a regular sleep schedule and stay away from caffeinated beverages and alcohol before bed time.

Tip 3: Clean skin

For an easy DIY cleanser try rubbing the skin with slices of raw potato or cucumber, especially if your partner likes salads. A good mask is to wash your face with a cut up fresh tomato, rubbing well into the skin. Leave for five minutes and then rinse off. The tomato contains an acid which helps peel off dead skin cells.

Tip 4: Treat your skin

Once a week you can give your skin a treat, such as applying a face mask or steaming your skin. But make sure what you treat your skin with suits your skin type, or you might make things worse. Instead of harshly exfoliating for acne, try using tea tree oil-it really works. Dab a small amount of tea tree oil on the spot, or steam your face with it. For oily or sensitive skin, you might want to skip the fancy products and simply apply yogurt to your face. It also helps acne. Yogurt clears the skin and is gentle. This will work for dry skin too. Tougher treatments for the skin include retinol cream, which is a derivative of vitamin A, and glycolic peels. Be careful, though, because these products take a layer off of your skin and applying them too often can cause damage. Wash and moisturize after steaming, exfoliating or applying a face mask.

Tip 5: Moisturise skin

Expensive moisturisers are not always the best. Sometimes simple products containing things like jojoba or other oils are very effective. One of the first cosmetic ingredients was lanolin, which is an oil from sheep fleece. There was an expensive study carried out on moisturisers and they came up with the remarkable conclusion that if a cream feels good, it’s the right one for you.

Tip 6: Sun protection

Regardless of your age plus your natural complexion, regular application of a quality sunscreen should be the part of your daily skin care routine. Sunscreen prevents your skin from damaging UV rays and thus plays role in fighting off premature ageing since UV rays are considered the main culprit in premature ageing. Here are some additional sunscreen tips:

Apply sunscreen 30 minutes prior to sun exposure in order for the ingredients to fully protect the skin.

Apply enough sunscreen to fill a shot glass (about one ounce) in order to thoroughly cover all of your exposed skin. During a long day outdoors, one person should use about one half of a full eight-ounce bottle of sunscreen.

Reapply sunscreen every one to two hours, after swimming, and after heavy sweating—even if labeled “waterproof.”
